If you are looking to purchase a TV wall mount, there are a few things to consider before doing so, such as the size of the TV, the placement of the TV, and the amount of money you have available to put into a TV mount.
There are many different television wall mount kits available. Some merely hold a TV stationary against the wall. Others allow you to tilt your TV, to angle it up and down, and even to move it out away from the wall and turn it so that it can be seen from another room.

Many different manufacturers make these products, and they offer them in different styles, for different models of TVs. Peerless and Sanus are two companies that produce many of these different types of mounts.
Buying a Peerless TV mount will assure you that you are getting a good quality mounting system. Peerless makes many great wall mounts and they have received some excellent ratings for these units. Whether a person chooses their long pivot wall mount, their articulating arm mount, the jumbo mount, the Slimline mount, or one of their other universal mounts, there will be a Peerless unit that will work perfectly for your own flat screen TV. Sanus also offers TV wall mounts in many of these styles.
Though they are all made of sturdy, durable steel, mounts are available in different finishes.
TV wall mounts are not difficult to install and a homeowner can elect to install it himself or hire a professional to do the installation. The mounts have a plate that will bolt into a stud in the wall, although if they are to secure a heavier TV unit, there are models that bolt into two studs. A set of rails, or in some instance, a single rail, will screw into the preexisting holes that are drilled into the back of most modern flat screen TV sets. The rail will then set into the wall plate to secure the TV. If it is a tilting style mount, there will be a bearing or some sort of swivel device to allow the TV to be adjusted after mounting. The articulating arm styles have an arm that will extend to allow the TV to come away from the wall. That way, the TV can be angled to the right or left to a more extreme degree than it can with other styles. This is a great design if a person wants the TV to be viewable from both the living room and kitchen, for instance.
Many of these kits are available at different prices and that perform different functions. A little research will allow you to decide which one is right for your setup.
